Of his rap alter ego Shawty Mane, who appears on ‘Boyfriend,’ Bieber tells MTV News, ‘It’s something that I love to do.’

When Justin Bieber dropped “Boyfriend,” he definitely channeled his rapper alter ego Shawty Mane on the verses, spewing lyrics like, “If I was your boyfriend, I’d never let you go/ I can take you places you ain’t never been before/ Baby take a chance or you’ll never ever know/ I got money in my hands that I’d really like to blow/ Swag swag swag, on you.”

The song now has many fans wondering whether more rapping will appear on his upcoming album, Believe. When MTV News caught up with the teen star on the set of his “Boyfriend” video, he shared just how much rapping will make the final cut.

“There’s not a lot of rapping on the album,” he said. “As people know, I’m a singer, and I don’t want to get people confused with that, but it’s something that I love to do, so you guys will definitely hear more of it.”

Fans will also hear more rapping from Bieber’s pal Drake, who recently opened up about working with his friend on the release.

“It sounds like everything you’d imagine a great Justin Bieber and Drake song would sound like,” the Take Care MC teased in an interview with Capital FM. Describing the process of making the track, he said he went about creating the song in a way he hadn’t done in the past.

“We meet on the ground of melody. He’s always like, ‘Yo, your melodies are so crazy,’ and ‘Give me the craziest melody.’ So, we sat there for a night, and it was actually a great studio process,” Drake explained. “What we would do is he would go in the booth for 10 minutes, and he would hum melodies, and then he would walk out, and then I’d be like, ‘I like this one,’ and then I’d go in, and we started coaching each other and amping each other up.”

Bieber also got a studio visit from Lil Wayne, but there’s been no word on whether the pair worked on any tracks for the album, dropping later this year.

For anyone wondering if Bieber truly does have the swag to pull of those kinds of collaborations, “Boyfriend” writer/producer Mike Posner, who describes the song as “super hip-hop,” assures critics that Bieber has what it takes.

“I think we’ve all known Justin since he was 13, and that’s not the kid I was in the studio with anymore,” Posner said. “He’s an 18-year-old. He skateboards with Lil Wayne and hangs out with Lil Twist. Those are his homeys. And he listens to hip-hop, and he’s a really cool kid. He’s not a corny guy.”

University of Notre Dame head football coach and St. John?s Prep graduate Brian Kelly will speak at Danversport Yacht Club on Thursday, May 10. A coach who inspires his players to excel in the classroom and on the gridiron, he will talk about the journey that led him to coach at the highest level of collegiate football for one of the most storied programs in the country.

Sponsored by the St. John?s Prep Alumni Association, the program is open to the public. Admission is available at two levels: $100/person includes a special reception at 5 pm followed at 6 pm by dinner and the speaking program; $50/person includes the 6 pm dinner and speaking program.

Kelly was named head coach for the Fighting Irish in December 2009, after three seasons at the University of Cincinnati (2007-2009), where he led the Bearcats to a 2-1 record in postseason bowl games and was named Big East Coach of the Year in 2007, 2008 and 2009, as well as Home Depot National Coach of the Year in 2009. Previously, he served three seasons as head coach at Central Michigan University (2004-2006), winning a Mid-American Conference title in 2006. Before going to Central Michigan, he was head coach for 13 seasons (1991-2003) at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, leading the team to back-to-back Division 2 championships in 2002 and 2003. Kelly graduated from Assumption College in 1983, and began his coaching career there after playing linebacker and serving as a two-time captain. Kelly graduated from St. John?s in 1979, and played under coach Fred Glatz during his years at the Prep.

A Gootan spaceship was filmed circling a passenger plane above Seoul, South Korea, on April 7.

The U.N. Panel on Extraterrestrials has confirmed that an alien spaceship from Planet Gootan was taunting a jet airliner over Seoul, South Korea.

It was caught on video. ?The clip, which has been uploaded to YouTube, begins with the ?craft? at the bottom of the screen, keeping pace with the passenger plane.

When the Gootan ship speeds up, passengers began extremely agitated and nervous. ??There was a lot of screaming on the plane, then there was a flash of light from the ship and? everyone went silent,? said Tom Kee, ?a passenger on the plane.

Three Gootan ships landed on Earth in November 2011 ? two in China and one in the Indonesian Sea. ?Dr. Susan Begley of the U.N. Panel spoke?exclusively with WWN about the incident.

?We believe the Gootans have a two-year plan to launch an attack against humans on Earth. ?We estimate over 10,000 Gootans are already spread out around Earth and will soon be joined by over 100,000 more. ?We want to assure all citizens that we at the U.N. are preparing our a strong Gootan Defense System and are confident that we can protect the planet from this alien invasion.?

Over the last four months there have been numerous sightings of ?UFOs? and other unexplained activity in China, Korea, Viet Nam, Thailand and Russia.

?It?s all the Gootans,? said Dr. Begley.

The North Korean government told the international community that they will fire on any UFO that comes into their airspace. ?The U.N. has advised against this action, because there are several ships from Planet Zeeba that are also flying around the planet and the Zeebans are here to help defend Earth citizens from the Gootans.

?It would be a tragedy if the North Koreans shot at the Zeebans,? said Dr. Begley. ??We need the Zeebans to help us defend the planet.?

Buried in universities across the country are student filmmakers searching for a venue for their work. More than 2,000 miles and a coast apart from Los Angeles, those in the Washington D.C. area encounter more obstacles than some.

?We have a great documentary scene here, but a lot of people think, ?Oh, I love watching films, but why aren?t you in L.A. if you?re not interested in that thing??,? said George Washington University international business and marketing junior Jungyoon Kim, the president of the East Coast Student Film Festival (ECSFF).? The festival screened short films by students from along the East Coast in its inaugural event on Saturday.

Of about 150 submissions, 16 were chosen, including ?Finley? by Ben Strang of the University of Maryland. The final group included two documentaries, the animated film ?Yogurt, Inc.?, and one music video set to ?Can?t Keep Johnny Down? by They Might Be Giants.

Filmmakers and their supporters gathered in GWU?s Marvin Center for a red carpet and mixer before the screening, which featured guest speakers Adam Nixon, a UMD graduate assistant and Andy Horwitz, a creative executive at Atlas Entertainment.? After the screening a Q-and-A session with the student filmmakers and a short award ceremony closed the event.

Though not all could make the trip, some traveled from as far as Savannah, Ga. to attend the event. Tobias Beidermuhle and Pikey Holdredge, MFA students from the Savannah College of Art and Design, made a brief trip to D.C. for their film, ?Madly Unto Eternity?. Though the two live in separate cities now (Beidermuhle lives in New York City), both made the effort to show.

?As we search for work and [with] (Beidermuhle) in the greatest city in the country, I would say, it?s a little bit hectic trying to balance our trips to film festivals and trying to find whatever jobs we can,? said Holdredge, who directed the film. The ECSFF marks the second of six festivals where they will be screening their romantic comedy.

The makers of ?Cross Country? drove from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro with lead actor, junior Luke Basinger, in tow. One of the heavier films, ?Cross Country? draws its title from ?Operation Cross Country?, a FBI initiative to fight child sex trafficking in the United States. Set during a sting operation, the movie was filmed at night and half an hour away from the Greensboro campus?accentuating an already stressful process. ?One night, we started Friday night at eight o?clock p.m. and we did not leave until seven o?clock the next morning,? said director David Stapp.

Since September, when Kim first contacted film organization presidents from American University, Catholic University, Howard University, and the University of Maryland, the ECSFF has had its own difficulties.

?It was kind of hectic, ?cause we are students first, so it was rough trying to manage schoolwork,? said president of Howard?s Film Organization, senior Lyndell Mitchell. Kim added the problem of limited funds? (?We literally worked under a $400 budget.?) and marketing to the committee?s complications.

Despite the festival?s less-than-Hollywood presentation, Kim is happy getting its idea out, ?We?re mimicking it, but we want to do it our own way and our best way to do it. At the end of the day, it?s the message that really matters and not the experience.?
